University hires procurement director
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has a new director of procurement services.
Rebecca Kee, who joined UALR on Monday, Aug. 17, has worked extensively in the public sector and is serving as the president of the Arkansas chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing.
Kee, a Beebe resident who grew up in Cabot, previously was a procurement administrator and chief procurement official for Little Rock Wastewater. She also served as a buyer with the Arkansas Office of State Procurement, a contract manager at the Division of Youth Services for the Arkansas Department of Human Services, and an assistant purchasing agent at Arkansas State University–Beebe.
In her new role, Kee, who has a bachelor’s degree in business management from Arkansas State University–Jonesboro, will oversee the purchasing, travel and procurement reporting for the university. Kee also is pursuing a UALR graduate certificate in conflict mediation.
“Rebecca’s experience in public procurement, along with her leadership and communication skills, will make her a valuable asset to Procurement Services and the campus community,” said Chaundra Hall, UALR associate vice chancellor for finance.
