IRS revenue agents and tax law specialists will present advice to help small- and medium-sized nonprofit organizations maintain their tax-exempt status at a daylong workshop offered Tuesday, Dec. 4, and Wednesday, Dec. 5. The workshop is sponsored by UALR’s Center for Nonprofit Support, the Arkansas Coalition for Excellence, and the IRS.

Dr. Hunter Bacot, director of a quarterly statewide public opinion survey on public policy issues in North Carolina, is the new director of UALR’s Institute of Government, Dr. Angi Brenton, dean of the College of Professional Studies, has announced.
Ruth Craw, director of the Center for Public Collaboration in the UALR’s Institute of Government, is retiring after 22 years of service to the university.
A reception to bid her farewell is scheduled for 2 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at the sixth floor reception area in Ross Hall.
“Crime” is the central focus of the UALR’s seventh annual mini conference, “Conversation on Racial Attitudes in Pulaski County,” Thursday, March 11, at the Donaghey Student Center’s Ledbetter Hall.
