UALR’s Department of Music will host pianist Dmitri Alexeev for a master class at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the UALR Fine Arts Building.
The UALR Community Chorus invites all interested UALR faculty, staff, students, and members of the public from throughout central Arkansas to sing with the ensemble as the group prepares for its spring 2012 concert. The concert, the second of two parts of Handel’s “Messiah,” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 5, at Second Presbyterian Church.

Guitarist Johannes Möller, the 2010 first prize winner of the Guitar Foundation of America’s Concert Artist Competition, opens the spring Artspree stage at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in UALR’s Fine Arts Building.
The UALR Community Chorus opens its 2011 – 2012 season on Thursday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Second Presbyterian Church in west Little Rock with a performance of “Ein Deutsches Requiem” by Johannes Brahms.
The UALR Concert Choir has been selected as the featured choir for the 2011 Arkansas Music Educators Association Conference (ArkMEA) on Friday, Nov. 4, in Hot Springs, the first ensemble to be invited to represent UALR at the state music conference in more than 10 years.
