The UALR Sustainability Committee will hold a session to disseminate information about 10 available Sustainable Communities Regional Planning mini-grants open to faculty and student researchers from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30.
UALR’s Sustainability Committee is sponsoring a free discussion course for university employees on sustainability in the workplace. Topics include waste, transportation, water, food, and more.
A joint project between the UALR Anthropology Program, the Anthropology Club, the UALR Non-Profit Leadership Organization, and the Central Arkansas New Agrarian Society submitted the winning proposal for a campus garden.

The UALR Sustainability Committee is seeking up to two undergraduate students to serve as Campus Eco-Rep interns for the spring 2012 semester. Selected students will receive a $750 scholarship to cover tuition and fees for the undergraduate internship class.
UALR students, faculty, and staff can shop for locally grown in-season produce, meat, and cheese in a new farmer’s market service sponsored by the UALR Sustainability Committee and Sodexo Dining Services.
