Rhetoric professor to participate in two webinars this fall 

The Online Writing Instruction Community is holding its first-ever virtual symposium. This keynote speaker for the symposium is Dr. Heidi Harris, an associate professor of rhetoric and writing.

She will speak at “Small Online Writing Instruction.” The webinar will be held Tuesday, Aug. 4, and Thursday, Aug. 6. Though registration is closed since they reached maximum capacity, the Online Writing Instruction Community (OWI) plans on holding another symposium in September.

At this symposium, speakers will present ignite talks on practical topics related to Online Writing Instruction pedagogy and administration. Each presentation is exactly 5 minutes and contains exactly 20 slides, with each slide set to automatically advance after 15 seconds while the speaker talks.
