The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) has scheduled the Build Your Own Business (BYOB) webinars for the fall 2022 semester.

ASBTDC introduced the BYOB program in 2020 for UA Little Rock students who want to become entrepreneurs, start a side business, or have an idea for a startup company.

The series begins Sept. 16 with Getting Ready to BYOB. In this webinar, speakers will introduce the entrepreneurial umbrella and discuss both what it means to be an entrepreneur and how ASBTDC can help you build your business.

In Oct. 21’s How to BYOB event, the seminar will cover how best to start a business and how the process is crucial to the business’s success.

On Nov. 14, BYOB Startup Story: The Croissanterie tells the story of Jill McDonald and Wendy Schay, who will share how their local food truck became a successful restaurant in West Little Rock. Time will be set aside to ask the founders questions and advice.

The online events are free to attend and count towards School of Business students’ career development Career Catalyst badge.

Students can connect through online events or virtual office hours, which are on the first and third Fridays of each month, from 1-4 p.m. To set up a meeting with an on-staff consultant, contact Heather Robinette at 501-831-9134 or at hbrobinette@ualr.edu.
