UA Little Rock to Kick-Off Fall Semester With Welcome Week

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will welcome its returning students with a week of fun events to help kick start the fall 2022 semester.

The fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 22, and Welcome Week runs through Friday, Aug. 26.

On Wednesday, Aug. 24, we encourage our students to meet and greet our Chancellor’s Cabinet and deans for “Welcome Back Wednesday.” From 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Chi Omega Courtyard, students can stop by and engage in the festivities and learn how to become involved in student organizations on campus. In the event of rain, please meet us in the Donaghey Student Center Fitness Center.

While supplies last, students can continue to take advantage of complimentary breakfast, coffee, and snacks in the Donaldson Student Success Center and school supplies available daily throughout this week in the Donaghey Student Center, Dickinson Hall, and Reynolds Business Building.

Food Truck Friday will take place on Friday, Aug. 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Fine Arts Lawn. Students can receive vouchers from the Student Experience Center table on the Fine Arts Lawn beginning at 11 a.m. with their student ID. Vouchers for faculty and staff will be available at 12:30 p.m. Valid university ID is required.

Additional events include a T-shirt giveaway, block party, carnival, disc golf tournament, and food truck lunch. The Ask Desk Welcome Center will also hold several events throughout the week for students to utilize if they have questions about the campus.

These events are a great opportunity for students to start the semester strong by surrounding themselves with their peers and simply having fun.

Sunday, Aug. 21

Monday, Aug. 22

Wednesday, Aug. 24
