Program Overview
The dyslexia graduate certificate program is designed to provide teachers the knowledge and skills to work effectively with students experiencing moderate to severe reading difficulties including dyslexia. The 12-hour program leads to an add-on endorsement in dyslexia by the Arkansas Department of Education and may also be applied toward the M.Ed. in Reading program.

Admission Requirements
Students who wish to pursue this program must meet the following requirements:
• Hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.75 (or at least 3.0 for the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work), or a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0

Graduation Requirements
The Dyslexia Graduate Certificate requires 12 hours of concentrated course work. Students receive a dyslexia (K-12) endorsement upon completion of the program with a cumulative 3.0 grade point average. The credits earned in this program may be applied toward the 30-hour M.Ed. in Reading program.
