The Journal’s Public Service Blog welcomes submissions on a rolling basis from attorneys, professors, students, activists, and community members that are interested in using the law as a vehicle for social change. Authors may submit pieces using the form at the bottom of this page or by email to socialchange@ualr.edu. Please direct all submissions questions to socialchange@ualr.edu
Blog Submissions
- News Articles and Blog Entries: These pieces discuss current or recent news relevant to social change or public service. These pieces should not exceed 2,000 words. These pieces will be published on the “Public Service Blog,” but will also appear on the Journal’s homepage.
- Book Reviews: Book reviews are critical analyses of books based on content, style, and merit. The Journal accepts reviews of fiction and non-fiction books, but all reviewed books must relate to social change or public service. Book reviews should not exceed 2,000 words. These pieces will be published on the “Public Service Blog,” but will also appear on the Journal’s homepage.
- Illustrations: The Journal accepts political cartoons, drawings, paintings, photographs, or other visual art that relates to social change or public service. The Journal asks that these be submitted as PDFs if possible. These pieces will be published on the “Public Service Blog,” but will also appear on the Journal’s homepage.
Other Media: The Journal accepts audio, video, and other non-print submissions that address social change or public service. These pieces will be published on the “Public Service Blog,” but will also appear on the Journal’s homepage.
