About the Helping Hands Food Drive
Imagine your holiday celebration with no turkey, dressing, potatoes, casseroles, or desserts. The picture you envisioned is the reality for some of your fellow colleagues here at UA Little Rock. These low-income families must spend their hard earned money on basic needs, leaving little to nothing for a holiday meal.
How You Can Help
Donating Food
The UA Little Rock Helping Hands annual food drive needs your help to mitigate holiday hunger that members of our Trojan Family experience. We will be collecting non-perishable food items to create food baskets. So remember, when you go out to do your weekly meal shopping, please consider picking up one or two extra items and put them in one of our food boxes located around campus.
Donating Money
Want to give by cash or a check? Be sure to write that your gift is designed for Helping Hands on a note for any cash or on the check memo line. You can send your donation to:

Donations can be made by credit or debit card through the Annual Giving and Campus Campaign site. Be sure to name “Helping Hands” as your designated fund.
Monetary donations through payroll deductions are also available. Just complete the information and on the “Designate my gift/pledge to support” section enter Helping Hands.
Apply for a Food Basket
Applications for food baskets will close on Friday, December 6, 2024. If you are selected to receive a Helping Hands Basket, a committee member will contact you regarding the pick-up date and time.
