EARTHtalk! – Dr. Lashun Thomas

UA Little Rock Professor Dr. Lashun Thomas has a Ph.d in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech.  She has worked with the U.S. Geological  Survey to address remedial strategies for investigating subsurface contamination at chlorinated solvent sites.

Her research focuses on groundwater and soil remedial technology.  She has also been involved in evaulating the potential environmental impacts of natural gas production from hydraulic shale fracturing.

In this EARTHtalk! Dr. Thomas discusses water cycles and the effects various contaminants can have on our water supplies.
