Visiting
You’re considered a visiting student if you plan to enroll at UA Little Rock for one semester and then return to your current institution.
Visiting students must submit the following for admission:
- Completed application for admission
- $40 non-refundable application fee
- Official transcript or Letter of Good Standing from the Registrar at current institution. The Letter of Good Standing may be faxed or emailed by the Registrar and should state “good standing” and indicate the last term attended (should be within the last 2 years).
Visiting students:
- Are not eligible for financial aid or veteran’s benefits.
- Are not eligible for the Online Campus; however, can choose online Main Campus courses when available.
- Do not require academic advising.
Post-baccalaureate
You’re considered a post-baccalaureate student if you’ve already earned a bachelor’s degree and now want to take some additional undergraduate courses.
Post-baccalaureate students must submit the following for admission:
- Completed application for admission
- $40 non-refundable application fee
- Proof of 2 MMR immunizations or Titer Test showing test date and immunity (for applicants born after January 1, 1957)
- Official transcript from bachelor’s degree-granting institution
Not all types of post-baccalaureate students:
- Are eligible for financial aid or veteran’s benefits.
- Require advising.
Non-degree seeking
You’re considered a non-degree seeking student if you plan to enroll in classes for personal enrichment or professional development.
Non-degree seeking students must submit the following for admission:
- Completed application for admission, and
- $40 non-refundable application fee, and
- Proof of 2 MMR immunizations or Titer Test showing test date and immunity (for applicants born after January 1, 1957)
Non-degree seeking students:
- Are not eligible for financial aid or veteran’s benefits.
- Do not require academic advising.
If you later wish to be classified as degree-seeking, you must:
- Submit a completed application for admission for a future term;
- Send your high school transcript if applying as a First-Time Freshmen or transcripts from all colleges attended if applying for Transfer admission;
- Meet qualification for admission as a degree-seeking student by:
- Satisfying the requirements for admission as a First-Time Freshmen, or
- Satisfying the requirements for admission as a Transfer if you have completed coursework at another institution prior to completing your new application and after high school graduation, or
- Demonstrating a record of successful course completion at UA Little Rock by:
- Having completed a minimum of 12 hours of University Core (or other hours directly applicable to a specific degree or certificate program) with a grade of C or better; and
- Having completed 12 hours of the last 15 hours attempted with a minimum GPA of 2.0
Returning
If you have not been enrolled at UA Little Rock for two years or longer, then you have to reapply for admission and pay the $40 application fee. If you have attended other institutions in the interim, then you will apply as a transfer student.
