Am I a Military Student?

  • Active duty, guard, reserve, or
  • Separated under honorable conditions

As a military student, UA Little Rock is offering the following assistance:

  • A waiver of the $40 application fee when you apply for admission
  • Reclassification of your residency status to receive in-state
  • A special tuition rate, which excludes most fees associated with enrollment (Technology Lab Fees and the Nursing Lab Fee will still be assessed)
  • A waiver of your immunization records

Getting Started

Our Quick Guide will walk you through your next steps from applying for admission, submitting the required documents like your transcript, signing in to the student dashboard, applying for financial aid, and more.

  1. Request a Fee Waiver to receive a promo code for your admissions application. You will be asked to submit an electronic copy of your DD214, your current military CAC (ID), your service verification letter, or your military orders.
  2. Apply for Admission. On the Demographics page, answer “Yes” when asked about your Veteran Information and provide your Veteran ID/Military ID/Guard ID.
  3. Submit Documents needed for your admissions application. Learn how to send your documents on the “Submit My Required Documents” section of the Quick Guide. Not sure what to submit? You can log into the admissions application to review your list of needed documents.
  4. Review the Military Student Checklist to learn about applying for VA Educational Benefits, Active-Duty Educational Benefits, and the FAFSA.
