Gerardo Galdamez, an Entergy Arkansas, Inc. project manager for energy efficiency, received the Advanced Energy Rising Star Award at the Arkansas Advanced Energy Association Annual Meeting and Policy Conference today.
Since 2011, Galdamez has helped manage the Entergy Arkansas energy efficiency portfolio by overseeing seven of Entergy’s 15 Entergy Solutions programs. To date, these programs have delivered over 300,000 MWh in energy savings (enough energy to power every home in Little Rock for three months) while only spending 87 percent of the allocated budgets.
Galdamez is also responsible for coordinating the overall Evaluation, Measurement and Verification efforts for Entergy Arkansas’ energy efficiency program with a third party implementer, Tetra Tech. He manages the Entergy Solutions Annual Report filing responsible for reporting the progress of Entergy Arkansas energy efficiency programs to the Arkansas Public Service Commission and the public.
Born and reared in New Orleans, Galdamez is a first generation American who obtained his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at Tulane University and an MBA at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
