Students in the MA in Rehabilitation for the Blind: Orientation and Mobility program learn how to teach blind and low-vision people to overcome severe problems of mobility and equip them to travel safely, efficiently, and confidently.
Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with an overall GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Required Essay
Please submit an essay describing your background, experiences, and reasons for choosing a career in orientation and mobility. Essay must be typed and no more than 500 words. Email your essay to Dr. John W. McAllister, program coordinator. Be sure to include your name, address, telephone, email, major, and semester to begin the program.

Graduation Requirements
- 42 hours
- At least a 3.0 GPA
- Both the master’s degree and graduate certificate require the completion of a 120-hour practicum and a 350-hour internship
