A Dynamic, Powerful Communicator
Dr. Srikanth B. Pidugu is recognized consistently by his students as one of the best teachers in the Department of Engineering Technology. One reason may be that he relates extremely well to his students, and they approach him for academic advice as well as other matters.
A former student said, “Dr. Pidugu is a dynamic and powerful communicator who possesses the gift of being able to make complex subjects understandable. He loves to share his extensive knowledge with his students.”
Dr. Pidugu has developed teaching materials and hands-on laboratories on fuel cell technology and taught high school students to make them aware of the role of alternate energy sources.
He challenges his undergraduate students to explore new ideas and mentors several of them in the emerging field of non-Newtonian fluids through micro channels. He serves on graduate committees for doctoral students in the Applied Science Department and is faculty adviser to the student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
He was instrumental in establishing UA Little Rock’s American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers student chapter last year.
He received a Ph.D. from Old Dominion University, an M.S. degree from Indian Institute of Technology in Chennai (Madras), India, and a B.S. degree from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India.
