The Office of the Chancellor, Health Services, Communications, International Services, and the Environmental Health & Safety Committee joined together to ensure that the UALR campus community was kept up-to-date on the Ebola outbreak. The Health Services website was updated to include Ebola information, guidelines, and recommendations. Regular communication was sent through campus email.
Marie Sandusky, Director, and Charlotte Beck, Assistant Director, participated in a telephone conference with the Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) regarding guidelines for individuals returning from affected countries.
Three students traveling from countries with wide-spread Ebola transmission were monitored by Health Services staff for 21 days as per recommendations by the CDC and ADH.
