Weekley Invitation

The faculty and students of the School of Mass Communication will say goodbye to a longtime colleague and mentor when Senior Instructor David C. Weekley retires at the end of this semester.

Weekly joined the school in August 1998 as an instructor, cable coordinator and production supervisor. He has taught advanced production courses, such as non-linear video editing, script-to-screen, and the electronic media capstone. As production supervisor, Weekley has written, produced, directed and edited public service announcements and promos for non-profit groups, educational videos, short movies, and documentaries. Weekley also has supervised and led students in numerous service learning projects.

Weekley has won several awards for his production work and has generated about $250,000 for the School of Mass Communication, said the school’s interim director, Dr. Timothy Edwards.
