UA Little Rock Choral Conducting Symposium

The UA Little Rock Choral Conducting Symposium, hosted by UA Little Rock music faculty members Dr. Lorissa Mason and Dr. Nickolas Doshier, is an opportunity for full conductors, auditors, and ensemble participants to explore the various facets of choral conducting. Designed for music educators, graduate student conductors, church musicians, community choir conductors, and any conductors looking to grow as artists, this symposium will offer you an exciting opportunity to delve deeper into your skills as a conductor.

Sessions on rehearsal techniques, conducting gesture, score study and analysis, choral literature, vocal technique, and commissioning a piece will be part of the three-day symposium. Full conductors will conduct each day and auditors on the final day, with video recording of podium time to assist in growth and self-assessment. Up to 18 Professional Development units are available for Arkansas music educators at no extra cost.
