UALR to host Education, Workforce, and Innovation National Student Success Conference
The Division of Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation will host the Education, Workforce, and Innovation National Student Success Conference April 26-29 in Little Rock.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Ivory Toldson, executive director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities, will deliver a speech at 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at UALR regarding this year’s conference theme “Pipelines to Success: Innovative Strategies to Connect Marginalized Populations to the 21st Century.”
The conference will bring together leaders from businesses, K-12 and higher education, government, and emerging industries in an effort to encourage student success in Arkansas and beyond.
The conference addresses the needs of students from historically marginalized populations, such as African American, Hispanic, and Latino men and women, and people who are at risk of academic failure because of socioeconomic disadvantage or other factors.
UALR students can attend the conference for free by filling out this form. Registration costs will be paid by the Division of Student Affairs.
