Graduate Student Association raises nearly $1,000 for student travel grants
The UA Little Rock Graduate Student Association raised nearly $1,000 for student travel grants through a Feb. 10 fundraiser at Chipotle in Little Rock.
The $983.08 raised represents half the sales brought in by Chipotle customers who showed a flier in support of the Graduate Student Association.
All funds raised will be used to help graduate students earn valuable experience by presenting their research at professional conferences.
“The Graduate Student Association’s Chipotle fundraiser was a huge success! We would like to say ‘thank you’ to all of the people who came out to support our drive to help UA Little Rock student researchers fund their travels to conferences to present their work,” Graduate Student Association President Sheila Speer said. “Travel grants are not only helpful for the student researchers, but it spotlights them in their field of work, as well as the university.”
