UA Little Rock School of Education receives CAEP accreditation

UA Little Rock’s School of Education has been accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

Accreditation was granted at the initial-licensure level and will be in place for six years. The next site visit will take place in Fall 2023.

“The CAEP standards are intended to ensure that educator preparation programs are continuing to adequately prepare and assess teacher candidates through completion,” said Dr. John A. Kuykendall, associate professor and director of the College of Education and Health Professions“The entire School of Education faculty, staff, and teacher candidates should be very proud of this accomplishment. UA Little Rock is one of the first schools in Arkansas to receive CAEP accreditation. I sincerely appreciate all of the hard work put into this endeavor.”

CAEP is the sole nationally recognized accrediting body for educator preparation and has developed rigorous standards to ensure excellence in educator preparation programs. More than 800 educator preparation providers participate in the CAEP Accreditation system.
