Campus committee seeks ideas to improve sustainability on campus

Massey is reigning Mrs. Little Rock, and will compete for the Mrs. Arkansas America title in November.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock Sustainability Committee is looking for ideas to make the campus more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

UA Little Rock currently recycles aluminum cans, paper, cardboard, and plastic bottles through bins distributed across campus, while batteries, printer cartridges, and electronics can be recycled if they are taken to the Facilities Management office. Facilities Management also partners with state Marketing & Redistribution to recycle and reuse larger items like furniture.

The committee has launched a short survey and is seeking feedback from the campus community on environmental issues, recycling accessibility and availability, and suggestions for sustainability projects on campus.

The first 100 UA Little Rock students, staff, and faculty members who fill out the survey will receive a free coffee tumbler. The survey can be taken through this online link.
