Welcome to Physics and Astronomy

You have discovered the best place to find information about our program, faculty, undergraduate research opportunities in Physics and Astronomy, Physics Club activities, and special announcements.

We offer both a Bachelor or Arts and Bachelor of Science degree in Physics.  In addition, we also offer a minor in Physics and a minor in Astronomy.  If you are interested in graduate programs, our faculty also participates in the Applied Science PhD and MS programs.

Our faculty members have been very successful in obtaining external grants to fund the state-of-the-art laboratories, research programs, and computer facilities.  Research opportunities, for both undergraduate and graduate students, exist in Astrophysics and Materials Science.

For additional information please e-mail the Program Coordinator, Dr. Tony Hall at tahall@ualr.edu or call the department at 501-916-3070.  We would be very happy to send a free copy of our brochure.  If you would like to schedule a campus tour and check out our Physics Program, please contact the Office of Recruiting.
