UASP 280.1, Information Technology Accessibility – Website Standards and Accessibility

The Board of Trustees recently adopted Board Policy 280.1 in an effort to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and related laws in the area of information technology accessibility. Included in BP 280.1, the Board adopted the Worldwide Web Consortium Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as its goal for University websites. Attached is UA Systemwide Policies and Procedures (UASP) 280.1, Information Technology Accessibility – Website Standards and Accessibility, which is intended to assist campuses and other units of the UA System in meeting WCAG 2.0 standards. As you may recall, the UA System no longer has “Admin Memos,” but now has “UASPs.”  This new UASP can be found at:  http://www.uasys.edu/leadership/office-of-the-president/ua-system-policies/ .
