Policy

In accordance with UA Board Policy 300.1 as amended on September 26, 1997, the vice chancellor for finance and administration is designated to execute on behalf of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock all contracts which do not exceed $250,000 and which:

  1. do not commit to building or renovating a facility;
  2. do not commit to initiating or expanding an academic program; and
  3. do not commit to extending expenditures beyond the term of the contract.

Such agreements are standard form contracts that have been reviewed and approved by the Office of the General Counsel. Any changes to such standard form contracts must be reviewed and approved by the Office of the General Counsel prior to execution.

The System Office must review Professional/Consultant Services Contracts that exceed $10,000 prior to execution.

The chancellor will be notified of any request for a contract that is unusual or strikingly different from past practices.
