The UA Little Rock chapter of Beta Alpha Psi recently competed in the 2018 BAP Southwest Regional Meet held in Oklahoma City from February 23-24. After receiving preparation assistance from Dr. Cynthia Taylor-Shaver, Associate Professor Accounting, members Alex Segalla, Julia Virahovskaya and Gene Johnson competed in the Best Practices category for Hands-On Engagement, placing second.
Best Practices are activities created and completed by a chapter to further specific goals identified by the board of directors of Beta Alpha Psi and by Deloitte LLP (Deloitte). These activities exemplify the spirit and purpose of Beta Alpha Psi and, if applicable, allow other chapters to emulate those activities. The UA Little Rock BAP chapter received a $250 award for their presentation and verbal recognition from the board of directors.
