On October 28, 2020, Leslye Shellam, daughter of the late Dickson Flake, announced a new scholarship honoring her father for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Real Estate program. The L. Dickson Flake Endowed Scholarship will be used to provide education-related expenses for undergraduate students pursuing a finance degree with an emphasis in real estate at the UA Little Rock School of Business. The first recipients of this scholarship were Ronald Davis and Vowtez Wrather, who attended the announcement ceremony at the Bailey Alumni Center along with members of the UA Little Rock School of Business faculty.
