The Center on Community Philanthropy at the Clinton School of Public Service recently hosted Dr. Travis L. Dixon as a Visiting Philanthropy Faculty Scholar for the Fall 2013 semester. Dr. Dixon’s semester-long research and culminating public lecture focused on the portrayal of minorities in the media, specifically in the southern region of the United States. Dr. Dixon is an associate professor of Communications Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles.
