COVID 19 Paid Leave

UA Little Rock is open for business and is conducting many services online. Employees who are able to work from home have been encouraged to continue working; however, some employees who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic may not be able to work for a number of reasons.

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) became effective April 1, 2020. Under the FFCRA all UA Little Rock employees who meet eligibility requirements may apply for up to 80 hours of paid sick leave. Additionally, UA Little Rock employees who have been
employed with the university for 30 days or more may be eligible for expanded Family Medical Leave under the Act.

In accordance with the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, UA Little Rock provides eligible employees up to 12 workweeks or 480 hours of paid job-protected leave, continuation of group health benefits, and reinstatement to the same or equivalent job upon return from leave.
