If you do not meet the full admission requirements, you can still apply to the program. In rare instances, students who show particular promise despite GPA or weaknesses in admissions materials are admitted to the program on a conditional basis.
Those students who are admitted conditionally and then complete the conditions specified (including maintaining a 3.0 average in the MAIS program for the first 9 hours of graduate work) are then accepted into the program as regular students. Those students who do not maintain a 3.0 average during this time or who do not meet the specific conditions required are dropped from the program.
