The Chamber Music Society of Little Rock and UA-Little Rock are excited to present the world renowned Pacifica Quartet this fall! Recognized for its virtuosity, exuberant performance style, and often-daring repertory choices, over the past 25 years the Pacifica Quartet has achieved international recognition as one of the finest chamber ensembles performing today. The Pacifica Quartet has carved a niche for itself as the preeminent interpreter of string quartet cycles, harnessing the group’s singular focus and incredible stamina to portray each composer’s evolution.

The ensemble will deliver an inspired performance at the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall on Nov. 14th, at 7:30 p.m. The program includes Mendelssohn’s Quartet in F minor, Op. 80; Shulamit Ran’s Quartet No. 3, “Glitter, Doom, Shards, Memory” and Beethoven’s Quartet in B-flat major, Op. 130, with Große Fuge , Op. 133.
