UA Little Rock Percussion presents their Fall Concert!

The UA Little Rock Percussion Ensemble will perform a diverse program of pieces including: “Taxidermy” by Caroline Shaw, written for 12 clay flower pots, vibraphone, and marimba; “RE: Disaster” by Susan Powell, a bombastic, thrilling quintet for five drums; “Desert Sunrise” by Alex Stopa, written for keyboard percussion trio; and “2+1” by Ivan Trevino, a marimba duet played on a shared marimba.

The Trojan Steel Band will perform an exciting mix of tunes across multiple genres: Two Soca tunes (“Pyxis” and “Coconut Bay”), “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, “Mirrors” by Justin Timberlake, and “Under the Sea” from The Little Mermaid by Alan Menkin.
