LPN/Paramedic to RN Curriculum

The following curriculum includes courses required for AAS graduation. Please note that not all AAS General Education Courses need to be completed prior to applying for the AAS.

AAS Required General Education Courses (27 credits)

  • RHET 1311 Composition I
  • RHET 1312 Composition II
  • MATH 1321 Quantitative Mathematics & Reasoning or higher level mathematics course
  • PSYC 2300 Psychology and the Human Experience or SOCI 2300 Introduction to Sociology
  • BIOL 1433 Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology or BIOL 1411 Anatomy and Physiology I and BIOL 1412 Anatomy and Physiology II
  • CHEM 1405 Fundamentals of GOB Chemistry or higher level chemistry course (CHEM 1409 will not count)
  • HIST 2311 or History 2312 US History or Political Science 1310 American National Government
  • BIOL 2401 Microbiology

AAS Courses Waived Based On LPN/Paramedic Certification (10 credits)

  • NURS 1200 Intro to Nursing: Concepts I
  • NURS 1202 Intro  to Nursing: Concepts II
  • NURS 1310 Adult Nursing I: Acute Care
