In order to comply with Office of Personnel Management’s annual leave policy, the university amended its Overtime/Compensatory Time for Classified Employees, Policy #402.44. As part of the policy revision, employees must now exhaust compensatory time before using annual leave.
Effective immediately, Payroll will begin adhering to this policy. If a classified employee submits an annual leave request, and that employee has accumulated compensatory time, Payroll will automatically apply the leave against compensatory time. It is important to note that this policy will only affect a small number of UALR’s employees.
