New Incoming Transfer Student

UA Little Rock is proud to offer a number of scholarships to incoming transfer students from both community colleges and universities because no matter where you started pursuing your education, we want to help you finish strong. Below, you’ll find all of our transfer scholarships as well as additional awards available to transfer students.

Transfer Scholarships & Criteria

Academic All-Star Scholarship

Awarded at time of admission

  • Must be named an Academic All-Star at an Arkansas two-year college
Tuition and fees for 15 hours per semester for up to four semesters (excludes summer terms)
Shelby Breedlove Transfer Scholarship

Priority: 12/1
Final: 3/1

  • Minimum of 45 transferable credit hours from an Arkansas two-year college, completed as of scholarship deadline
  • Arkansas resident
  • 3.25 minimum cumulative transfer GPA
  • Only available to first-time UA Little Rock students that have not taken courses at UA Little Rock after high school graduation
Up to $5,000 per year for up to four semesters (excludes summer terms)
Trojan Transfer Scholarship

Final deadline: 3/1

  • Minimum of 27 – 60 transferable credit hours (excludes certain hours such as concurrent credit, CLEP, and AP.)
  • 3.5 minimum cumulative transfer GPA
Up to $4,000

Final deadline: 3/1

  • Must be transferring from UA-PTC
  • 3.0 minimum cumulative transfer GPA
  • Must have a minimum of 30 earned credit hours in an EIT undergraduate program while enrolled at UA-PTC
Full tuition for four consecutive semesters (excludes summer terms)

  • Must meet requirements for unconditional admission
  • be degree seeking
  • Reside in a contiguous state (OK, MO, TN, MS, LA, or TX)
Waives out-of-state portion of tuition
New Arkansan Non-Resident Tuition Award

Final Deadline: 3/1

  • 3.0 minimum cumulative transfer GPA plus a minimum of 24 transfer hours to be eligible. (if fewer than 24 transfer hours, must have a 24 ACT or 1160-1600 SAT plus a minimum 3.0
    high school GPA in order to be eligible)
  • 3.30 minimum cumulative transfer GPA plus a minimum of 24 transfer hours to be eligible to receive a 90% award. (if fewer than 24 transfer hours, must have a 26 ACT or 1230-1600
    SAT plus a minimum 3.5 high school GPA in order to be eligible)
Pays 80% – 90% of the difference between resident and nonresident tuition
Privately-funded Scholarships

Final deadline: 3/1

  • Must submit Trojan SMART application by March 1
  • 2019-2020 FAFSA must be completed by March 1

Important Notes:

  • UA Little Rock Scholarships may only be awarded to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • Eligibility is determined by the information received (transcripts, test scores, etc.)by the March 1st deadline and your ranking within the applicant pool.
  • We cannot guarantee an award to each applicant due to the competitive nature of scholarships.
  • Academic Transfer Scholarships may be used to pay direct expenses (tuition, fees, room and board) that are charged to a student’s UA Little Rock student account after all waivers or discounts are applied. No portion of an academic transfer award can be refunded to you.
