Communication Skills Center (CSC)

The UA Little Rock Communication Skills Center (CSC) is a free campus resource devoted to supporting the development of all stages of the speech creation process – we help take the panic out of public speaking! We also help with interview preparation and practice as well as other communication-related skill building.

Our services include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing communication and public speaking anxiety
  • Brainstorming topics
  • Conducting research
  • Organizing content
  • Adapting messages to audiences
  • Designing and integrating effective presentations
  • One-on-one rehearsal coaching

Workshops (offered virtually and onsite)

Workshops can focus on any stage of the presentation creation process (brainstorming, researching, organizing, creating and using effective presentational aids, rehearsing, etc.) as well as other communication topics (active listening, assertiveness, team building, professionalism, etc.). We are happy to tailor workshops to specific assignment expectations. Please contact the CSC Director, Dr. Kristen McIntyre, with questions or to schedule a workshop.
