The Biology Department occupies 40,000 square feet on two floors of Fribourgh Hall and another 20,000 square feet in the Science Laboratories Building. Students have access to individual research labs, electron microscope facilities, a tissue culture lab, an image processing lab and many pieces of state-of-the-art collection and analysis equipment.
The department also oversees and operates an animal services unit, three environmental growth chambers, walk-in cold rooms and two refrigerated centrifuges.
