Bowen Law Celebrates ‘Law Review’ 35th Anniversary

Dean William BowenOn March 28, 2013, the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law celebrated the Law Review 35th Anniversary of publication during a reception held at the law school. In commemorating this event, the Editorial Board had the ambition of remembering the past, celebrating the present, and hoping for the future. To that end, it invited its esteemed alumni back to the school to honor their hard work and commitment to the Law Review core values: publishing timely and useful scholarly work for Arkansas practitioners, the judiciary, and members of the state’s legal community; publishing material for national and international audiences; and providing a forum for outstanding student work of both local and national interest, as well as an opportunity for students to gain experience editing scholarly articles.

Dean Paula CaseyIn addition to honoring its alumni, the Law Review—in an effort to pay
special tribute to a person whose contributions to this school and the publication have been extraordinary—dedicated the Anniversary Issue of the Law Review to Dean William H. Bowen, with Dean Paula Casey writing the Dedication for the Law Review. At the reception, Abtin Mehdizadegan, the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, presented Dean Bowen with his issue of 35.1, while an extra copy—signed by all in attendance—was given to him after the event.
