About the School of Education

The School of Education at UA Little Rock offers various programs of study in teacher education.

Undergraduate Teacher Education

It’s a challenging yet exciting time for educators in Arkansas and beyond. Highly qualified teachers who believe all students can learn and who provide classrooms that inspire learning are greatly needed. You might remember a teacher who made math easy or who turned you on to dinosaurs or who took time to make sure you understood the assignment. Completing an undergraduate degree in elementary, middle childhood, secondary (education minor), or special education at UA Little Rock will empower you to join this important profession.

Graduate Teacher Education

The School of Education also offers graduate certificates and graduate degrees designed to advance your knowledge, skills, and dispositions in the areas of elementary, middle childhood, secondary, reading, special education, and graduate level content specialization. If you plan to become a learning technology educator, a director of a gifted and talented program, or a reading educator, our programs provide the tools you need to succeed. Choose from among graduate certificate programs, master’s degree programs, or a doctorate in reading education.
