Our program is preparing for an amazing week of exploring musical theater, performance, photography, music composition, and lyric analysis.
Student Showcase Performance (open to the public)

Program Information:
June 26- 30, 2023 on the campus of UA Little Rock
9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Student drop off begins at 8:30 a.m. and pick up is promptly at 4:00 p.m.
Student Showcase scheduled for 2:00 Friday June 30 in the Student Services Center Auditorium.
As conveyed by Encanto, the new feature film from Walt Disney Animation Studios, every child has ability. The gifted and talented child, however, needs unique opportunities to explore, nurture and understand their potential.
Students participating in MT Stage: Expressions! will participate in daily teambuilding exercises, analyze lyric composition, theme, and meaning. Students will also experience a song composition session with a guest award-winning recording artist, learn about life on the road from a grammy-award winning rock star, a photography lesson from a professional photographer, and learn stage performance from a guest theater professional. Program continuity will be provided by a gifted education specialist who will work with the students in the morning on team building exercises.
In the afternoon, the students will be supported by a performing arts specialist who will provide the students with guidance and direction for creating their end-of-program student showcase.
MT Stage: Expressions! program will conclude with a special performance at UA LITTLE ROCK where students take center stage.
Thirty students from across Arkansas will be selected to participate in this unique and exciting experience.
MT Stage is a non-residential program and does not supply housing for participants. Students who have participated in previous MT Stage Experience programs are not eligible to re-apply for the program.
NOTE: This program takes place on the campus of UA Little Rock beginning Monday, June 26 through Friday June 30 and includes:
- Program T-shirt
- light breakfast
- hearty lunch
- afternoon snack and,
- a fabulous learning experience!
Families are responsible for transportation to and from program. This is not a residential program (housing and transportation is not offered and not included).
