Xixi Wang, an international student and graduate assistant in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, started graduate study as a working mom of a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old. Online courses offered her the flexibility she needed to take her skill set and knowledge to the next level!
Xixi’s Graduate Student Experience
“Before enrolling as a student at UA Little Rock, I was a stay-at-home mom for a 4-year-old and a 1-year-old. Although I already had a B.A. in Math, so much has changed over the years. All of these factors could easily have become overbearing obstacles for me.
“From the International Student Services office to the Bursar office, everyone offered prompt answers to my questions and helped me find solutions. Several of the courses were available online, which gave me great flexibility in managing my time. From the library staff to IT services, I found all the support I needed to focus on my courses. Not only was UA Little Rock a safe haven for me but they just made everything work!”
