How do I get my UA Little Rock Certified Mail ready?

We have both required forms in Mail Services. Once you have completed both forms please do not stick them to the outgoing mail piece. Bring both forms and the mail piece to our office and we can process it.

What are your hours of operation?

Mail Services is open for business Monday-Friday from 8 am until 5 pm.

What is the latest I can bring mail over for processing?

  • Presorted mail (discounted 1st class letters only) is picked up at 2:45 pm.
  • All other mail/packages are put onto the USPS truck at 4:30 pm.

Can I send my personal mail through Mail Services?

Yes, bring your mail or packages addressed and sealed, please. We can sell you 1st class (Forever) stamps or print a meter tape for packages and large envelopes.

Can I purchase stamps at Mail Services?

Yes, however, please note we operate on a cash basis only.

What is the least expensive way to ship a package?

Shipping by FedEx is usually the least expensive way to ship packages.

Can I get a tracking number on my package?

All packages shipped through FedEx come with tracking and $100 insurance. All 1st Class packages sent through the USPS may receive a tracking number when requested.

Can I charge postage to my department?

Yes, every UA Little Rock Department is set up with its own postage account or “Mail Bag.”  A different mail bag number is assigned to represent that department’s charge account with Mail Services.

When filling out the Postage Authorization Form (PAF) be sure to include your department’s name and assigned mail bag number for proper billing.  All PAFs must be filled out completely and bundled with the outgoing mail.

What if a department loses its mailbox key?

Each department has been issued one mailbox key.  One person in each department is responsible for coming to pick up their department’s mail every day. Lost keys may be replaced for $5.00 and will be charged back to that department.
