The University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Literary and Performing Arts would like to invite prospective students and their parents/guardians to campus to be a Music Major For A Day. The 2023 event will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023. Enjoy a day in beautiful Little Rock, AR, and see what a typical schedule is like for a music major. The event is open to all students considering a degree in vocal or instrumental music. Experiences include:
- See first-hand how we provide students with a rich and diverse musical education
- Experience how we prepare students for successful careers in music
- Learn about degree programs, admission, scholarships, and financial aid
- Attend classes and participate in ensemble rehearsals
- Meet the UA Little Rock Music faculty
- Enjoy observing a private lesson with one of our faculty members and current students
- Make contact with private lesson faculty and take advantage of the opportunity to schedule a free lesson of your own
- Interact with current music students
- Take a walking tour of campus
- Experience campus dining
- Seniors can audition to be a music major at UA Little Rock
