Delays in Policy Revisions and Updates

An Important Message from the UA Little Rock Policy Management Board (PMB):

Earlier this year, the PMB and the Faculty Senate (FS) discovered a communication gap related to policy review processes and updates. The gap in communication between the FS and the PMB caused delays in updating several policies in the UA Little Rock Policy Library, as well as delaying notifications to the campus community.

Since discovering the issue, the PMB and Faculty Senate have been coordinating to manage the affected policy updates. All of the policies in question were approved by the FS and the Chancellor, even when the updates failed to reach the PMB. To avoid delays in the future, the FS and the PMB have developed a solution to facilitate reliable policy communication.
