Rhetoric is the language we use in everyday life to persuade others. The term describes communication for multiple purposes. Rhetoric can be found in advertisements, web pages, social media, politics, workplace writing, and personal relationships.
The Department of Rhetoric and Writing at UA Little Rock offers first-year composition to help improve writing skills. We also maintain the University Writing Center where all students are welcome to work on specific writing needs. Our degree programs prepare students for careers that require strong writing, communication, and critical thinking skills.
