Brown Bag Lunch and Learn for March

UALR’s Diversity Council will host our “Brown Bag Lunch and Learn” series event for the month of March on next Thursday, March 7th from noon – 1:00 in room G of the Donaghey Student Center. Our featured speaker this month will be Gwendolyn Middleton, M.A, M.P.A; Assistant Director of the McNair Scholars Program. Ms. Middleton will discuss “Generational Diversity in Today’s Workplace.”

The presentation will discuss the generational make-up of today’s workplace. Baby Boomers, Generation X (The Busters), Generation Y (The Millennials) and Generation Z (the Digitals) will be identified and defined. A comparative analysis will discuss the differences and commonalities that exist between the generations. Understanding differences that may exist will open discussion on how members of each group can begin to understand the other groups and form a more cohesive and tolerant work environment.

Please come out to participate in the discussion and meet the members of the council. Our Brown Bag Lunch and Learn events will take place the first Thursday of each month and will feature presentations from faculty, staff, and students from across campus. Please encourage your students to also attend.
