In Support of HBCUs

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is dedicated to creating spaces in higher education where students, faculty, and staff feel safe to learn and grow with a common purpose. In solidarity with our fellow institutions of higher learning, we condemn the recent bomb threats that have targeted dozens of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the nation. We understand that these types of threats of violence are used to disrupt, weaken, terrorize, and intimidate. They are often efforts to suppress voices from marginalized and oppressed communities.

Our HBCU institutions are resilient and will continue to thrive as they defy these threats. They will continue to pursue their missions and fulfill the promise of educational attainment as they have always done. UA Little Rock shares this commitment and offers its encouragement.
