Seth Cook, B.S. – Graduate Assistant

Seth graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2019 and was offered a position in the Emerging Analytics Center, where he is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biology.  Seth has worked with Dr. Carolina Cruz-Neira since August 2019. His projects include utilizing and optimizing a 360° campus tour as well as creating a workflow for the Department of Computer Science Graduate Assistants. For his thesis, Seth will be working with Dr. Qingfang He to develop and present a model of key regulators in cyanobacteria, such as DspA, PfsR.

He is also well-versed in organizing and operating campus clean-up events with the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Foundation as well as donation drives for the Trojan Food Pantry and for Break of Difference. In 2015, he was awarded the Student Government Association (SGA) Senator of the Year award, and in 2016, he received the SGA’s Executive of the Year award. In 2017, he was honored by nomination to Who’s Who Among Students. In 2020, he was asked by the UA Little Rock Sustainability Committee to Chair the Earth Day and Sustainability Day events.
