Veteran Education Benefits

1. Register for classes

Register for class using Boss.

Remember, only the courses that are applicable to your degree program can be certified for VA benefits.

Also, the VA will not pay for development courses taken online.

It is highly suggested that you work with an academic advisor and refer to Degree Works to confirm that courses are applicable to your degree program.

2. Complete applicable Certification Request Form

Please do not submit this form until you have completed your registration.

3. Report of Change of Major or Changed Benefit Type

Complete the Military Report of Change Form.

This form must be completed if you have made changes to your major, declared a minor, or changed your benefit type.

4. Maximize all funding resources

Maximize all sources of funding by completing:

FAFSA application for federal financial aid (strongly recommended but not required)

5. Check your preferred and UA Little Rock email

Check your UA Little Rock email address frequently.

Confirmation of certifications, issues with course applicability, and other important, time sensitive information will be sent primarily to your UA Little Rock email addresses only.


Military Tuition Assistance

1. Education Center

 Contact your Education Center: Make an appointment with your Education Center counselor to assist you with the TA process.

2. Register for classes

Register for class using Boss.

Remember, only the courses that are applicable to your degree program can be paid for using Military Tuition Assistance.

It is highly suggested that you work with an academic advisor and refer to Degree Works to confirm that courses are applicable to your degree program.

3. Apply for tuition assistance

MyCAA

Please e-mail MYCAA financial aid vouchers to thirdpartystudentaccounts@ualr.edu.

Federal Tuition Assistance

If you are using Chapter 1606, you cannot use Federal Tuition Assistance.

For students utilizing Tuition Assistance (TA) please e-mail your voucher to thirdpartystudentaccounts@ualr.edu.

NGTW

Contact financialaid@ualr.edu in regards to status or any questions about your NGTW.
